Rider Safety

In winter, when the mornings taking longer to get light, make sure you charge all lights – front and back and ensure they are clearly visible.  The rule is to have a bright red light at the back of your bikes (not facing the road or hidden behind your bike saddlebag) and a bright white light on the front of our bikes.

Dress in bright, visible colours – no blacks, navies, dark greens – our club top has the perfect colours to be noticed.

A reminder: The law states we must ride in single file, SINGLE FILE, and especially remember, when someone shouts “CAR BACK” everyone must immediately fall into SINGLE FILE (even though they should be riding single file anyway).

Riding with headphones is not allowed. You do not hear cars approaching and with the recent tragic events, rather be safe than sorry.
